Endoscopy Center

The OSH Endoscopy Center opened in the fall of 2008 and is specifically designed for patients requiring a colonoscopy. A colonoscopy is an outpatient procedure that involves the examination of the large colon and part of the small bowel with a camera located on a flexible tube passed through the anus. It provides a visual diagnosis of ulceration or polyps and allows the physician to biopsy or remove suspected lesions. It is commonly performed to screen for colon cancer.
