David R. Hicks, MD - Orthopedics

Dr. David R. Hicks earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1973. Dr. Hicks attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine, graduating in 1977. His residency was completed at Charity Hospital of New Orleans, Department of Surgery Internship in 1978, Tulane Medical School, Department of Orthopedic Surgery Residency in 1982, Veterans Hospital of New Orleans, Charity Hospital of New Orleans Residency in 1979, and Huey P. Long Charity Hospital, Residency in 1980 .

Dr. Hicks serves as a clinical instructor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Tulsa. He continues to speak to groups on current subjects in orthopedics.

Dr. Hicks is certified by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Tulsa County Medical Society, the Oklahoma State Orthopedic Society, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, the Cervical Spine Research Society, and the North American Spine Society.

His sub-specialty/special interest is Spinal Disorders.

Dr. Hicks resides in Tulsa with his family.
