Iovera Treatments Performed at Oklahoma Surgical Hospital

Oklahoma Surgical Hospital is now offering the Iovera° treatment to patients. This is non-opioid pain relief treatment, preformed before knee or shoulder replacement surgery or to treat chronic pain. It is a cryoanalgesia system that delivers a localized nerve block that lasts for up to 90 days.
Iovera° is:

– Provides immediate, long-lasting relief of acute (postsurgical) and chronic pain
– The Iovera° treatment is localized and does not inject any drugs into the body

The Iovera° system is used to destroy tissue during surgical procedures by applying freezing cold.
